Training and Full Care Board
Ashley offers a full care board and training program for horses whose owners are committed to intentional development or structured rehabilitation rooted in classical horsemanship principles.
Due to the level of professional oversight, individualized planning, and coordinated care involved, only a small number of horses are accepted at one time. A waitlist is maintained.
Program Structure
Horses are developed systematically through both in-hand and ridden work. Each horse’s program is tailored to their physical nature, temperament, training history, and intended use.
Weekly lessons and/or attendance at training sessions are mandatory and included in the training rate. Owners are expected to actively participate in their horse’s education.
Training horses are ridden in lessons with Ashley’s mentor 2–4 times per month to ensure continued refinement and accountability. Owners receive weekly written and/or video updates outlining progress.
Integrated Therapies
Supportive therapies are incorporated when appropriate to assist in physical development and rehabilitation. These may include:
Sure Foot Equine Balance Pads
ProSix
Red Light Therapy
Therapies are used strategically to improve proprioception, strength, tissue recovery, and overall functional movement — never as substitutes for correct training.
Ashley maintains collaborative relationships with leading equine veterinarians (including lameness and chiropractic specialists), bodyworkers, and hoof care professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Full Care Board Includes
High-quality timothy and alfalfa

I sent my four year old warmblood, Gus, to Ashley after I noticed he was starting to struggle with balance. He had recently gone through a growth spurt and couldn't quite figure out how to use his body correctly, and he had also developed a sticky stifle. Ashley took her time working with him and had an amazing attention to detail. She started with building his strength with groundwork, before asking him to carry the weight of a rider. I watched as he developed the ability to lift his shoulders and carry himself straight. He was previously tight rope walking in his hind legs, and that completely went away along with his sticky stifle. A tail that was once held to the right at all times, became soft and straight.
I never worried about Gus when he was with Ashley for training. I am usually a helicopter parent, but I had no doubt he was receiving the best care. Ashley was in constant contact with updates on how he was doing, and had great suggestions for how to change his feed or living situation to make sure he was happy. She never hesitated to go above and beyond to accommodate anything Gus needed, whether it was giving meds or changing up his turnout situation. Ashley is an extremely hardworking, honest, and conscientious trainer with a great feel for the horse.
